- The Creation of the Macs was an exciting development. Don, Karen, Barbara Morrison and Max McGuire joined together for a great acoustic vocal band featuring lots of harmony.

- We all miss the Broken Spoke in Nashville. It was one of the all time great songwriter venues, recently closed.

- There were some pretty funny scenes in "The Beverly Hillbillies" that featured Don and were cut for time, but you'll still see him in the credits and his face appears quite a few times in this Movie. Cutting room floor blues!

- If you look closely, you'll recognize Leeanne Rymes in this commercial for TARGET stores. Look even closer, and you'll see Don McNatt as the bass player on the right.

- Don takes pride in having been the lead singer for "Quo Jr." This Rock and Roll band had Hubby Mitchell ( Hi Records)on Keys, Velvert Turner (true student of Jimi Hendrix) Jerry Norris ( from Isaac Hayes ) and bandleader Roland Robinson ( Buddy Miles)

- Don with Qou Jr. at Push Concert at Memorial Stadium for crowd of 35.000.

- Newspaper photos don't last so well, but this is Surrender Starting out in Clubs in Arkansas. Linda, Rick, Mick Don, and Bev can been seen in this one.

- After playing with the Spiral Starecase together, Surrender was able to go back to the same venues under their own name. Here, Don, Mick and Rick Caughron are in a showroom in Toronto.

- This was between takes on the set of "The Beverly Hillbillies". Billy Bob ( Don) with the band from back home, is confronted by the Wedding party manager. Cut from the movie, but great fun to do.

- Don at the Legendary Palomino Club in North Hollywood with the SMPLZAT Band.

- Ronn Crowder, Leo LeBlanc, Don and Joe Braus can all be seen in this photo of the SMPLZAT Band at a Southern California Country Fair.

- Don also likes to play a variety of instruments. Here he is drumming at the Sahara Hotel in Las Vegas.

- A gracious lady, and a great actress, Cloris Leachman as Granny, and Don wait at the honey wagon for a Clampett lunch.

- This is another celebrity photo. Here, Don, age 5, is mounting "Champion". Do you recognize him? He was Gene Autry's horse, and a definate movie star. Having Speedy for a Dad had it's advantages. Note how local folks cleared the way for the ride.
